This Cookie Policy explains how cookies are used across the Alpha-Omega Greek website and the Alpha-Omega Greek Academy.

Our main website runs on Zoho Sites, and the Academy runs on Trainer Central — both are Zoho Corporation products, and follow the same  cookie policy, though the specific cookies set on each may differ. This page covers both.

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file stored on your computer or device that helps a website recognize your browser, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is used.

How Zoho and Trainer Central use cookies

Zoho classifies the cookies it sets into the following categories, and Trainer Central (the Academy's course platform) follows this same structure:

• Strictly necessary — required for the site to function (e.g. keeping you logged in, security, load balancing). These can't be switched off.
• Functional/preference — remember your choices (e.g. language, region) and support features like the cookie consent banner and live chat.
• Analytics — help us understand how the site is used, so we can improve it.
• Third-party cookies — set only when a page embeds third-party content (e.g. a YouTube video); these are controlled by the third party, not by us or Zoho.

Zoho states that it does not use third-party software to track website visitors, hosts its own analytics tools in its own data centers, and does not monetize visitor data for advertising purposes. 

Because Zoho maintains and updates their own cookie lists directly (including specific cookie names and durations), we link to their official, current cookie policies rather than reproducing a list here that could go out of date:

Cookies we add ourselves

In addition to the cookies Zoho and Trainer Central set to run the platforms themselves, we use the following tools, which may set their own cookies:

• Affiliate program cookies, including the Amazon Associates Program — to track referrals when you click an affiliate link.

Upon your first visit to the Site (and periodically after that), we — or, on the Academy, Trainer Central's own cookie banner — will ask for your consent to non-essential cookies.
